These Filters are invaluable on board ship, furnishing a supply of pure and wholesome water during a long voyage. Suitable also for travelling up country.

In Cream-coloured Stoneware. This Filter is specially adapted for rain water, and also for very hard or muddy water. The second medium being protected by a slab, no water can possibly reach it until after passing through the first medium. By this means a double process of filtration is effected, whilst at the same time the impurities contained in the water are deposited on the slab, and may be easily cleansed away with a sponge.

Prices, complete-A, 2 Gallons, 30/-;
B, 5 Gallons, 50/-.
Extra Blocks supplied for these Filters at 10/6 and
15/- each.

AMERICAN POTTERY AND GLASSWARE REPORTER,

A FIRST-CLASS WEEKLY TRADE JOURNAL,

REPRESENTING THE INTERESTS OF

American Manufacturers of Crockery, Glassware, Lamps, Gas Fixtures, Clocks, Bronzes, House.

Furnishing Goods, etc.

The AMERICAN POTTERY AND GLASSWARE REPORTER was started at the earnest solicitation of a large number of the most prominent manufacturing firms in the Union, who believed that a journal ably edited, fearless, untrammelled and devoted to home industries, was imperatively demanded in the interests of the trade; and having faith in the ability of the undersigned to furnish such a journal, gave it their decided support and patronage.

Unlike most new class papers, it has at the start a PRESTIGE, INFLUENCE, and CIRCULATION that commend it to the favour of both manufacturers and dealers. This Journal is issued weekly, in a style unsurpassed by any other business publication in the Union; contains from sixteen to twenty pages of matter, embracing editorials, a summary of trade news from all sections of the country, new inventions of articles handled by dealers, and other miscellaneous matter within its scope as a class publication. Subscription-TWO DOLLARS PER YEAR, in advance.

Manufacturers desiring to reach the CROCKERY, GLASSWARE, and HOUSE-FURNISHING GOODS TRADES of the United States and Canadas, should remember that this Journal has a LARGE GUARANTEED CIRCULATION. Sample Copies Mailed Free. Rates of Advertising and other desired information furnished promptly.

"This journal is full of reading of a very valuable character, placed before their clientèle in a style that makes it amusing as well as instructive. Under the head of Trade Tattle' we found the most attractive series of paragraphs we have seen in any journal for some time past."-Southampton Observer and Winchester News. The influential character of the articles in the British Mercantile Gazette upon Banking, Commercial and Industrial matters, is shown in their being extensively quoted by the leading Daily and Weekly Papers both at home and abroad, and the Gazette may fairly claim to be the most authoritative publication of the kind now before the mercantile world.
