NOTE BY SUB-EDITOR

THE collection and arrangement of the papers and speeches which are contained in this volume have led to the conclusion that those who are interested in women's work will seek more definite and practical information on the subjects therein dealt with. As it would be obviously out of place to treat of such matters in the present volume, Lady Warwick has in contemplation the bringing out of a small book of reference, entitled 'Facts for Women,' and indeed frequent reference has been made to it in the following pages. It will give details of an essentially practical nature, such as the length of time required for training in the various professions and businesses, and the cost of study and so forth. Considerable space will be devoted to Lady Warwick's Agricultural Scheme for Women, with particulars of the different branches of Agriculture and Horticulture which are being taken up by women in Great Britain and Ireland. The collection of this information is the direct result of the third sitting of the Education Congress, which is fully reported in these pages. Owing, however, to unforeseen circumstances, it has been found impossible to bring out the Facts for Women' just yet, and as it is undesirable to further delay the publication of the present work, the indulgence of the public is asked. The cover of this book has been designed at the Warwick School of Art. EDITH BRADLEY.
