London Improvements have already begun to affect the premises of the London Trade. Messrs. Darton & Hodge's well-known Juvenile Repository will be removed to the Strand. Mr. Edward Gregg is obliged to remove from Grosvenor Street West, to 24, Lower Belgrave Square, and before long there will be a wholesale turn-out of Book sellers and Printers from Bell Yard, Temple Bar, in order to make room for the new Law Courts. Although it is improbable that any of our regular subscribers will give credit to Mr. J. F. Becke, of Ardwicke, Manchester, it may be as well to mention that the police still connive at the swindling transactions of that gentleman. |
