No answer is given as to the No. of scholars attending school in each district. Under the head of" average attendence in the common schools," the "summer " column is filled with numbers, which, in the aggregate, amount to 475. This being the precise number of persons in the town, between the ages of 4 and 16, $700 00 it is presumed that it cannot be the average "summer" attendance in the schools. The "winter" column under this head is not filled up.
