Nevertheless, until there rises in England some monument worthy of the great Edmund, it cannot even be said of this country, that enough is effected that the sure pledge exists of that just consummation by which transcendent talent and virtue may hope to experience righteous remembrance, appropriate homage, and adequate reward.
