to have mercy upon Thy servants and handmaids, for whom we do offer this Sacrifice of Praise unto Thy Majesty that by these holy

Sacrifice, to these Thy servants and handmaids, unto whom Thou hast given love towards us, the remission of sins, comfort in this life, and Thy continual guidance: whereby they may be able faithfully to serve Thee here, and at length be accounted worthy to attain to Thine everlasting mercies. COLLECT. MERCIFUL and gracious God, favourably hear the prayers which with sighing we do pour forth in Thy presence, for our perishing brother (or sister): the error of his ways, may be that he being converted from delivered from death; that so where sin hath abounded,

SUFFER not, O Lord, a

soul to perish for which Christ died and as we do commemorate His death in this Sacrifice, grant unto Thy servant, (or handmaid,) by His grace, the spirit of repentance and the remission of all his sins. Through the same. (P.)
