The various themes brought into notice are therefore handled in the light of a long experience, and also, it is hoped, in such a way as to inspire thought and action, leading to the higher appreciation of truth and honesty, integrity and diligence.
It is by no means claimed for this volume that it presents a complete view of the young man's purpose or progress in life. It is merely what the title “ Hints and Helps ” would clearly suggest; that is all.
