Side 35 - The subjects of every state ought to contribute towards the support of the government, as nearly as possible, in proportion to their respective abilities ; that is, in proportion to the revenue which they respectively enjoy under the protection of the state.

Side 5 - The tenure of such appointment shall be two years, unless sooner removed for cause. The salary of each superintendent shall be $1,200 per annum, the salary of such assistant superintendent shall be $900 per annum.
