The Peace Agreement.

My reports to the Montreal and Newark conventions cover this matter in a thorough manner and there is little more to record, except to refer to subsequent developments.

Since the Newark convention we have issued four Special Withdrawal Cards, three of them being duplicates to take the place of cards that were lost, while the other was issued in harmony with the provisions of the agreement. The cards referred to are as follows:

We have issued, since the Newark convention, Certified Applications as follows:

The applications marked "returned unused" are those that were rejected by the Glass Bottle Blowers' Association, they taking the position of having sufficient idle men in their own trade to fill all vacancies that occur. To this we can offer no objections.

It is a pleasure to relate that since the peace agreement was entered into. April 20, 1912, friendly relations have prevailed between the officers and members of the two associations.

Statistics.

On account of the depression in our trade dur early fall, I deemed it advisable to secure more detaile mation relative to the employment of our members w hope that such data would be of considerable value membership at large.

With this in view I prepared a table which shows t membership in each department, the number of each ment in each Local Union, those employed at the trade, as those employed outside the trade, and the number ployed. This table first appeared in the Quarterly Rep the three months ending November 30, and has been r in each report issued since that time.

This record contains all the data that is presented table appearing on Pages 7, 8 and 9 of the Quarterly 1 and in addition to this it gives the number employed a employed in each department and in each Local Un believe that it is the part of wisdom to continue to rep this data in the manner outlined, while at the same tin unnecessary to continue the table under the heading ↑ ment," and unless otherwise instructed we will disco publishing the latter named table.

By referring to this new table any member can as the true condition prevailing in each locality, providi course, that the facts are presented by the financial secre It will prove a good reference sheet. See table (inser titled "Condition in Each Locality as Reported May 20,

Assessment Increase.

In Circular No. 14 dated March 23, 1915, a prop was submitted to the trade to increase the assessments two to three per cent. The trade supported the idea at increase became effective Monday, April 19, 1915.
