J. CLARK. M.A.. Ph D., F.R.A.S.

"The volume of Dr. Clark is very opportune, and we are glad to be able to recommend it to our readers as a storehouse of facts and arguments relating to the Church and Dissent. The whole question is stated and discussed with ability, and the results of extensive reading are given in a concise and useful form. We wish that a volume like this could be generally read."-Clerical Journal

COLLECTIONS.-The best and cheapest way to complete a really valuable and good collection of Stamps is to apply to S. S. and Co. for a large and beautiful Sheet for approval and selection, who, besides sending Stamps at half the usual prices, deduct 25 per cent. discount.

ALBUMS.-Machine ruled, bound in cloth, coloured edgings, to contain 2000 Stamps, complete, with patent elastic band and Three unused Stamps, gratis, post free, 1s.

This volume is a valuable contribution to the investigation of one of the great questions of the day. Chapter V. on the inadequacy of pure voluntaryism is very important, and deserves the careful perusal of every one who is interested in the religious welfare of the people of England. * The valuable statistics throughout the volume show much laborious research: the arguments are logically stated, and the inferences faithfully and fairly deduced. It is no slight privilege to have in a small compass [pp. 308] so many useful details and statistics upon one of the great questions of the day, and we heartily commend the Rev. Dr. Clark's work. * May its circulation be as extensive as the merits of the 100 Varieties with Album 38. | 300 Varieties with Album 78. 6d. volume. and the importance of the subject deserve."Warrington Advertiser.

"I think it eminently a book for the times, and its wide circulation is most desirable.”—G. F. Chambers, Esq., Barristerat-Law, F.R.A.S., Author of Church and State Handbook, &c.

"In this work the Rev. J. Clark has discussed with great perspicuity and fulness the important questions arising out of the Church as established in its relations with dissent. A large amount of evidence has been gathered together. The book gives evidence of no little zeal and industry on the part of its author, and is written in an admirable tone of fairness. The author can justly take credit to himself for having, while steadily holding by his own convictions, been careful not to offend needlessly those who differ from him."-Yorkshire Post.

MR. HOWARD, Surgeon Dentist, 52, Fleet

street, has introduced an entirely new description of ARTIFICIAL TEETH, fixed without springs, wires, or ligatures. They so perfectly resemble the natural teeth, as

not to be distinguished from the originals by the closest observer. This method does not require the extraction of roots, or any painful operation, will support and preserve teeth that are loose, and is guaranteed to restore articulation and mastication. Decayed teeth stopped and rendered sound and useful in mastication. -52, Fleet-street, at home from 10 till 5.
