There were received during the year 152 applications for bounty-land warrants; 52 warrants were issued and 101 applications were rejected. At the close of the year 962 There were allowed during the year arrears of pension in the case of those who were in receipt of a pension January 25, 1879, and granted arrears by the act of that date, applications were pending, and 93.009 claims were on the rejected files. 57 Army invalids, 21 Army widows, &c.
