Lieutenant H. A. Morrieson, of the 63d regiment of native in fantry, is appointed to act as interpreter and quarter master to the 6th regiment of light cavalry, vice Lieutenant W. J. E. Boys who is permittted to resign the appointment.

Lieutenant C. C. Scott, of the 32d regiment of native infantry. and at present attached to the 71st regiment of native infantry, is appointed to act as Interpreter and quarter master to the 39th

regiment of native infantry, during the absence, on duty, of ensign F. E. Voyle, or until further orders.

Camp, Hurryoya, December 22-Under the instruction from the Right Honorable the Governor General, the brigade o Irregular cavalry of the army of the Indus is dissolved, and the appointments of the brigadier and brigade major are accordingly to cease, from the date of promulgation of this order at Feroze

The order issued by Major General Sir W. Cutton, K. C. B. and K. C. H. on the 14th instant, appointing Assistant Surgeon G. Anderson, of the 2d regiment of light cavalry, to the medical charge of the staff at the head quarters of the army of the Iudus, vice Dr. Murray, is confirmed.

Assistant Surgeon G. S. Cardew is appointed to the medical charge of the 70th regiment of native infantry, in the room of Surgeon Atkinson appointed superintending surgeon to the army of the Indus.

Camp Soonam December 25-Under instructions from the Right Honorable the Governor General, the Commander of the Forces directs, that two 24 pounder brass howitzers complete equipped for field service with the prescribed complement of men horses and ammunition, from the 4th troop 2d brigade of horse artillery, may be immediately prepared, for the purpose of being attached to a mission about to proceed to Peshawar: the 12thpounder howitzers now with the troop being sent into magazine.

1st Lieutenant W. Barr, of artillery is appointed to the command of the above detachment, which will proceed, as soon as completed, by easy marches to Loodianah, where the Lieutenant will report himself to Major C. M. Wade, political agent, under whose orders he is placed.

The officer commanding the Meerut division will be pleased to give prompt effect to the foregoing arrangements.

Brevet Captain Knyvett will join the depot by the 1st of April, and the officer commanding the Meerut division will avail himself of his services in taking charge of men under orders for the hills, should no senior officer be proceeding to do duty there.

Camp, on the Right Bank of the Hindon, near Nagowah, January 8-The order of the 14th ultimo, issued by Major General Thackwell, appointing Assistant Surgeon Chapman, of Her Majesty's 16h lancers, to afford medical aid to the staff of the cavalry attached to the army of the Indus, is confirmed.

The battalion order of the 18th November last, appointing Ensign W Egerton, of the 2d regiment native infantry, doing duty with the Sylhet light infantry, to act as adjuvant to the corps, until the arrival of Lieutenant and Adjutant Verner, is confirmed.

The Rajpootanah artillery division order of the 1st ultimo, appointing Sergeant James Ford and Gunner Richard Corn, of the 1st company 2d battalion artillery, to act as laboratory-men, during the practice season, is confirmed.
