Influenza-State of Victoria. Under date of February 2, 1919, there were 1,241 cases of influenza reported in the State of Victoria, Australia. Estimated population, December 31, 1917, 1,411,004. Fatalities from influenza have been reported at Birmingham, England, as follows: Period from December 29, 1918, to January 25, 1919, 41; four weeks ended February 22, 128; four weeks ended March 29, 638; four weeks ended April 26, 131. NETHERLANDS. Typhus Fever-April, 1919. During the month of April, 1919, 16 cases of typhus fever were notified in the Netherlands. Of these cases 2 occurred at Amsterdam, 4 at Naaldwijk, 9 at Rotterdam, and 1 at Wateringen. The total number of cases of typhus reported in the Netherlands to April 30, 1919, was 769. |
