TIIE PRAYER MEETING.

L. M.

COMMENCEMENT OF THE SERVICE.
1
1 COMING from various joy or care,

From toil, and duties of the day,
With a glad heart we now repair,

Unto thy house, O Lord, to pray. 2 0 come to us, thou gracious Lord,

Come by thy Spirit, in thy power; Refresh and strengthen by thy word,

And bless and sanctify this hour. 3 Teach us how full of hope and peace,

How safe the life that rests on thee; Revive our faith, our joy increase,

Our refuge and our solace be.
4 O help our waiting hearts to rise,

All worldly hindrances above;
And thankfully to realize

Christ's precious and eternal love!

Tune-"Rousseau."
1 LORD, I hear of showers of blessing

Thou art scattering, full and free;
Showers, the thirsty land refreshing ;
Let some droppings fall on me

Even me. 2 Pass me not, O God our Father!

Sinful though my heart may be;
Thou might'st leave me, but the rather
Let thy mercy light on me,

Even me. 3 Pass me not, O gracious Saviour!

Let me live and cling to thee;
Fain I'm longing for thy favour:
Whilst thou’rt calling, call for me

Even me. 4 Pass me not, O mighty Spirit !

Thou canst make the blind to see;
Witnesser of Jesus' merit,
Speak the word of power to me

Even ine. 5 Love of God—so pure and changeless;

Blood of Christ-so rich and free; Grace of God-so strong and boundless, Magnify it all in me!

Even me. 6 Pass me not--thy lost one bringing ; Bind

my

heart, O Lord, to thee; Whilst the streams of life are springing Blessing others, oh bless me!

Even me.
